OVERVIEW OF DAILY EVENTS
OPTIONAL DANCE AWAKE! EARLY MORNING SESSION
each day offers YogaRhythmics or Chi lel, or an exploration in breath,
creative movement and stretch.
BREAKFAST
WHOLE CAMP GATHERING We begin with the
children. A dance or two, a ritual, game, announcements, song, prayer
- as the spirit moves us.
CHILDREN’S & TEEN/TWEEN’S MORNING
PROGRAMS Multi-age activities and groups will run concurrent
with the adult morning program. Special projects, creativity circles,
music and rhythm, outdoor recreation, snacks and free play provided. A
parent co-op will be organized for very young children.
MORNING: Each day will be dedicated to
an aspect of Creation. We will weave in ritual, clan bonding activities,
spiritual walking practice, stories and of course, lots of Dances of Universal
Peace!
LUNCH/REST BREAK
AFTERNOON WORKSHOPS will include a variety
of Creative Workshops, Dance Leadership Training, Spiritual Parenting,
Offerings from Camp Participants, and the day’s adventures in the
extended, dual Art Studios. These will be augmented with field trips,
nature play and relaxation.
DINNER BREAK
WHOLE-CAMP EVENING SESSIONS The evenings
will include drumming, a family concert, a bonfire, an Abrahamic Traditions
deepening, and a Talent Sharing bringing in collaborative clan performances
and reflecting our themes. We will continue the grand tradition of the
bedtime story circle.
LATE-EVENING OPTIONS The late evening
will include deep dancing and improvisational jams involving and combining
guitar, drum, song and movement. Participants may opt to create their
own study groups in guitar, drum, dance leadership, etc.
SUNDAY MORNING CREATION CELEBRATION
A theatrical celebration gathering in all the highlights of the week,
including song, dance, procession, ritual, drumming, and festive attire!
Family, friends and community are invited to attend. Followed by lunch
together to end the camp.
