DANCE LEADERSHIP TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPS

Dance leadership training scholarships are available through Oneness Project for this camp. These reimburse up to half of all costs, including tuition, room, board and travel, up to a total of no more than $400. Applications for this camp must be postmarked to Oneness no later than May 28, 2007. The training and scholarships are for all levels of Dance leadership. Applicants must have a Dance Mentor and may either already be certified Dance leaders or be pursuing certification. They must be up-to-date on membership to either PeaceWorks or S.R.I. (Sufi Ruhaniat International). For an overview of the mentoring and certification process, visit
www.dancesofuniversalpeace.org.

Please let the camp registrar, Dan Gallagher, know by May 9,
2007, if you are applying for and awaiting news of a scholarship, in order to be eligible for the early, discounted tuition.

WORK/STUDY SCHOLARSHIPS

There are a few work/study scholarships available for this camp. Please contact Camp Director Kathryn Ashera Sprowls at SpiralRose@aol.com if you are interested in being of service to the camp.

CEU’s

CEUs can be arranged through one of our Senior Dance Mentors on staff.  Appropriate paperwork can be generated and facilitated.  A fee may be arranged for extensive collaboration.  Contact Ayesha Lauenborg at SufiCaravan@yahoo.com to discuss this possibility.

YOUNG ADULT SCHOLARSHIPS

The Sufi Ruhaniat International (SRI) offers scholarships to young adults (ages 16 – 29) to attend camps that feature the Dances of Universal Peace and/or Sufi teachings. SRI is the organization that formed around Samuel L. Lewis, “Sufi Sam”, who started the Dances of Universal Peace in the 1960’s. “Sam” taught in the lineage of the Universal Inayati/Chisti Sufi tradition, but he also was also a proponent of global consciousness, sharing the attunement and teachings of many world traditions (as reflected in the Dances). Please speak to how this approach resonates with your own personal philosophy and your desire to learn more. To apply, send an email detailing the camp you wish to attend, the costs (include travel, tuition, room & board), how much you are able to contribute, and the amount needed to make this work financially. Send the email to: SRIyouth@earthlink.net

We recommend taking care of this as far in advance as possible – ideally six to twelve weeks or longer before the camp, so that you can plan based on the result. Please let our registrar for Peace Camp know you are applying and awaiting news from SRI, by May 9th, 2007, so that we can ‘register’ you at the early, discounted rate. You can contact our registrar, Dan, at dan_with_plan@yahoo.com.
