WHAT TO BRING
- sunscreen & sunhat
- bug repellant
- personal supplies
- (consider) earplugs for extra-peaceful sleeping!
- flashlight
- raingear
- swim suit & extra towel (Charles River is 10 minutes away; bath
house/sauna on site!)
- comfortable, loose clothing - some you don’t mind getting messy
- warm & cool layers (who knows?)
- comfortable walk & dance shoes -- bare feet are fine for dancing
on the wooden floor!
- campers (Claymont supplies towels & sheets & blankets
for boarders)
- boarders may want to bring an extra blanket or towel
- a journal (spiritual journaling is part of our camp this year)
- Dance leaders in training may want to consider a small
hand-held recording device to tape new dances/songs
- if you are on a special diet, consider bringing some of your
own staples (frig & preparation area supplied)
OPTIONAL, BUT NICE!
- musical instruments
- sacred objects for the altars or walls (that you will take
home afterward). We will be creating altars
representing_different aspects of Creation, so bring
treasures from nature, or pictures/beings/objects that
represent this for you. (You can label these with your
name underneath if you like!)
- costume pieces that you would enjoy wearing or sharing.
We invite you to consider dressing in the spirit of the
Creation! Or to simply be as colorful as you like. (Or
not, of course.) Children can bring their favorite dress
ups if they are peaceful in nature. Saturday evening is a
talent sharing, and Sunday we will be doing part of the
original theatrical Cosmic Celebration, enacting the
seven planes of angelic beings as envisioned by
Ezekiel. We will dance with veils and scarves one
evening.
- creation-oriented sharing for the “Talent Night”
- favorite game or activity (peaceful theme)
- old shirt/apron/smock to wear while doing art projects
- WE WILL HAVE A SILENT AUCTION DURING THE
CAMP TO BENEFIT A GOOD CAUSE. If you’d like to
participate, bring a “treasure” that is ready to move on,
and/or bring some cash and a sense of adventure for
finding a new treasure to bring home.
- Please label everything you intend to keep!
RECYCLED CREATIVE ART TREASURES
TO BRING IF POSSIBLE
- cigar, ipod or shoe boxes, other nice gift boxes for treasure boxes/travel
altars (anything trifold is especially nice!)
- clothing or accessories (bags, scarves) you would like to paint with
sacred abandon!
- natural objects, such as stones, shells, feathers, beads
- old costume jewelry or other decorative things, glass beads
- spiritual/natural images from calendars, magazines, cards
- other objects of beauty and purpose that we can be creative with
- Grab bag - your inspiration!
Things NOT to bring to camp
- illegal drugs and alcohol
- personal candles or incense
- pets (there are a resident dog and cat, however)
- you can bring your cell phone, but it may be on “roaming”
mode
Due to allergic reactions on the part of some individuals,
please refrain from wearing heavily perfumed products.
